Leigh Lake

It’s been a while since Christian and I have done anything together. That’s why I was so excited when he invited me to go kayaking with him at Leigh Lake, just past Jackson Hole on the Wyoming side of the Tetons. Christian and I grew up together and I’ve known him for thirty-one years. I was eight years old when I went to his 9th birthday party and we played “No bears are out tonight”. It’s true. No bears were out that night and I lived to tell about it.

We paddled the kayaks straight ahead to the shore. It’s there we ate lunch. Sandwiches, beef jerky, gatorade, and some gummi candy. Then the dark clouds started rolling over the Tetons.

It started to rain, but not until we were already on the way back home. Now that’s a Saturday.

No pictures Jackson’s elk-horn tunnel? What a rip-off.
