Before you go to France, come by my studio and I’ll make some great portraits of you. That’s what Betty did. I’ll ask if you play the trombone (Betty doesn’t) and we’ll listen to Tahita 80. You might dance on the table, you might not. I’ll tell you a funny story about the time I lived in Mexico and we’ll laugh some.
In the end, the pictures will be fabulous and we’ll both be glad you came by. We’ll feel like it’s a great way to spend a couple hours just days before you’re off to school in France. Then, seven years later you’ll pull out those photographs and think about how much you’ve changed in such a short amount of time and you’ll think about just how lucky you are to have such pictures that mark the passing of time.
