The band Passion Pit played last night at the Urban Lounge. I was there to document the good times. Check out the above slideshow and then cry because you weren’t there.
Something to keep in mind as you check out the pictures. I wasn’t at the very front. There were two dudes right in front of me. They weren’t about to budge. I had to shoot between them. Then, at one point, two girls came and tried to shove me out of the way. It was a forceful and worthwhile effort on their part. In fact, I had to rely on the boxing-out skills I learned on the 3rd ward basketball team 25 years ago. (We once lost, 100-19). But last night I held my ground and got the shot (unlike 25 years ago).
You kids like the rock and roll music? Then you ought to be reading Dainon’s blog. He’s the one that told me about this band. Thanks Dainon.
(Techinical note in case you’re curios: Both the images and video were shot on the Canon 5D Mark II with a fixed 50mm 1.4 lens. That’s right. The images AND video were shot using the same camera. I don’t use the video so much but last night thought I’d give it a whirl).

It was a forceful and worthwhile effort in your part in making this slide show.
