Welcome home, me.

Last Thursday I went to the Dominican Republic. Stayed until Sunday, and then took a 7 hour bus to Cap Haitien, Haiti. Tomorrow I’ll be back in Provo. I’ve had a great time but it’s always nice to get back home. For one thing, I’m out of clean clothes.

I’ve been doing some work for Partners of the Americas. I’ve been to Haiti for them before. Here are three teasers from this most recent trip. I’ll be posting many more in the following days.

From my journal:

July 11, 2009 – San Jose de Acoa

9:50pm – Juan is checking every room in the hotel. He wants to see which two rooms are the best. They all look the same to me. Oh, except there is one difference with room six. Since the door knob is broken, you have to open that room with a spatula.

    Hi Justin,

Nice meeting you at the farmer’s market! I guess now I have to stop lurking and actually post a comment sometimes ;) These are really awesome! They totally belong in a magazine somewhere :)

I love that first one. So precious. I like the kid’s expression in the second. And I love the last one with the honey dripping on her fingers and lips. And I like the colors in the last one.

So glad you are back!!! Can’t wait for the rest of the photos.
