Join us – July 15, 6-9pm

I’m pleased to announce the exhibit for the 30 Strangers 2011 portrait project and fund raiser. This year we’re delighted to have the show at the BYU auditorium gallery at the Harold B. Lee library. The show will be up for the entire month of July, and our opening night reception will be on July 15 from 6-9pm. Mark that day on your calendar, and come join us.

And I’ve got some exciting news regarding our opening night reception!

Frst, here’s the part you may already know about:

Friday, July 15, 6-9 pm
Harold B. Lee Library, BYU Campus
Auditorium Gallery, Level 1
Readings at 7:30

How do you make a perfect night even better? Well now, here’s the extra zinger. That night (Friday), at 7:30pm in the adjacent auditorium, we are going to haveĀ  the finest blog writers aroundĀ  sharing short essays about motherhood.

You’ll get to hear from:
Stephanie Nielson – The Nie Nie Dialogues
Brooke Benton – About a Girl
Carina Hoskinsson – The Jet Set
Molly Jackson – A Good Grief and Hope Smiling Brightly
Amy Hackworth

With such an all star lineup, you’ll want to be certain to get there early. It’s a small auditorium and seats are limited. We can’t wait to see you there.

…..

30 Strangers is a portrait project fundraiser which raised money for our local women’s shelter, the Center for Women and Children in Crisis. Special thanks to Perfectly Suited by Garth.

When my kids heard the announcement about your showing at the last rooftop concert, they all looked at me and said, “Mom, you HAVE to go.” Yes, they think I am a famous photographer because I follow them around all day with a camera. I think that should say something about your people show: being a mom is THE BEST. How else would I ever have anyone think I am an amazing photographer. LOL Hope to be there, maybe meet you in person, but mostly see your amazing shots of life at its best – photos of relationships. Perfect!
