Melonie brought her three sisters, her mother and her grandmother, and her daughter. Most live around here, but her sister Ginger told me she came from Michigan just to do this portrait session and added, “…So this better be good.”

They’re all talented and bright and doing interesting things with their lives, and the thing I wish I could tell you is the dream Melonie had the night before and recited to everyone. Oh, man, it was a good one, and we all laughed hard. And there was some blushing. Mostly from me.
