Twelve years ago when I got married, we hired Kent Miles to shoot our wedding. This summer, when his daughter Lindsay got married in Salt Lake City, they hired me. I was honored to be their photographer. In fact, as long as I’ve known Lindsay, I’ve always wondered who would photograph her wedding, and I always hoped it would be me.
I’ve got to say, working along side the guy that taught me everything about photography was just a little intimidating. Just a little. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful day and I’m happy how these pictures turned out.
And I wish Kent had a few more daughters. Not because that would mean more weddings I would hopefully shoot, but because if he did have more daughters, and they were anything like Lindsay, this world would be a better place. I loved being around her that cloudy Saturday in September. She is one of the most charming girls I know.

LOVE the shot of the tree with the lights wrapped around the trunk and the leaves swaying in the breeze!
I love the shot of Kent in the background (in focus) with Lindsay and her bridesmaids in front (out of focus.) I don’t know much about photography, but that seems tricky, like it shows some serious skills.
Lindsay looks like a jewel. What a thrill for you…glad you got to shoot this because I know how much you revere Kent.
