“I think we’ll take the long cut. We’ll get there eventually.” – Uncle Tupelo.
Instead of taking the straight shot on I-15 from St. George back to Provo, the boys and I decided on the scenic route. We turned off on Highway 14 at Cedar City and headed across the mountains to highway 89. Panguitch, Hatch, Circleville…. If you don’t live in Utah then there’s a good chance none of this will make sense. So let me put it this way. The drive took twice as long and we had twice as much fun. Beef jerky, root beers, and the music of Paul Jacobson and the Madison Arm.
Summer’s here, baby.

WOW, that’s pretty fun that you took the side trip. There’s always such interesting sites along the way in smaller towns.
