Thursday night is the artist’s reception for the 30 Strangers exhibit. Don’t be a stranger–come stop by and say hello. I look forward to this event all year and I’m so excited it’s nearly here again.
The show is at the BYU Auditorium Gallery and has been up for a month, but the reception is this Thursday, October 4, 2012, from 6-9pm and it’s a great time to meet and mingle. I’ll be there, of course, along with many of the participants that were photographed this year. And, you’re bound to see other people you know, too. You might even get to meet my mom!
The best part about the night is at 7pm, we’ll have a very short program in the adjacent auditorium. Four of the best writers in the state will read essays. Amy Hackworth, Kacy Faulconer, Lisa Valentine Clark, and Courtney Kendrick (who I like to call White Oprah). And, music by Cherie Call. I’m mean, come on. This will be fantastic!
