New York City family portrait session

John Waire is one of the coolest guys I know. And until a couple months ago, I’d never even met him. We were just online friends. You know how that goes. We see each other’s posts on Twitter and Facebook and comment from time to time. And John’s always posting very cool links about photography (he’s a photographer, too!) and inspirational articles about better living. Last year during the big storm back east he organized a drive in his neighborhood to gather blankets for those displaced from their homes by the storm. He’s that kind of guy.

So, it was a great honor to meet him and to photograph his family this summer while we were both in New York City.

Meet John and Sarah and their family.

Justin…as I’ve stated in the past…you ROCK. Thanks for these — they truly mean the world to us. It was great to meet you (and Amy) in real life. You really took the time to get to know us…and there’s a lot to be said about that. It speaks volumes about you…and what you’re able to produce as a result. I’ll always look to you for inspiration…and I look forward to the next time our paths cross. Thanks again.
