For the previous 2 years, the summer version of Alt Summit has been in New York City and San Franciso. This year, however, it took place in Salt Lake, where the winter version has been going on for years. I love photographing this conference, and once again, had a fantastic time. Here’s a visual summary of what things looked like this year.
Here’s Brooke Dennis. (Image below) She and I photograph the conference together. Working with her is one of the best things about shooting Alt.
Hey look, it’s Susan Peterson from Freshly Picked.
Here’s Martha Stewart. She was the keynote speaker, and I made this photograph just before she was announced to come on stage. She included this picture in her blog post about coming to Salt Lake.
I was in a room, taking pictures of her with a few people, like Gabby (shown above), Alt co-founder, and some other folks. Then Amy came in the room to bring me my camera bag, which I had left in the ballroom. Martha saw her with the baby, and said, “I want a picture with the baby”. So, that’s how this picture happened.
So, that’s that. A great week. If you’ve ever thought about attending Alt Design Summit, I’ve been to every one in Salt Lake and the two in New York and I can tell you that it’s totally worth being there.
