New York Wedding in Central Park

I met Israel in 2003. I went to North Carolina (where he was living at the time) to photograph a wedding and the bride, his friend Kaarsten Turner suggested I stay with Israel. We’ve been friends ever since.

Fun fact: Many of the folks that were at Kaarsten’s wedding in 2003 were in New York for Israel and Mark’s wedding, too. It was so fun to see them all again.

When Israel and Mark got married, it was a perfect day for a wedding. Oh, sure it was a little muggy and it could have rained at any moment, but it was a beautiful event, and love was in the air.

Meet Mark and Israel.

Great shots as always Justin! I love how you always have a background story to tell:) They look so happy. I especially like #33, #55 and #59.

These are gorgeous pictures, Justin. I love that you aren’t afraid to photograph alternative lifestyles.

I am so late to this blogosphere party — I completely missed all this lovely. ‘Tho is was pretty great to re-visit it all at the end of the year in 2014. That was such a great day, and I love the thread of connectivity to moi and my wedding day many moons ago. I don’t even think you had a blog then. Anyhoo, great memories all around, the wedding, and sitting out on that round sidewalk table in Chelsea chatting into the wee hours. I feel so grateful to know you and check-in on your version of the world. You make it all better, Justin.
