Park City family portraits

A letter from a friend.

When you photographed my family in 2011, we didn’t realize that’d be the last full family picture we’d have. Mark had too much anxiety to join us for our family reunion, but he was able to pull off a few minutes during the pictures that day. I remember worrying our clothes weren’t color coordinated and everything wasn’t thought through or planned. But those pictures are so precious to us.

My family chose one of Mark and his dog to go on the funeral program’s cover. One of the speakers was so moved by it that he based his entire talk around it and kept referring to it.

I know that we can do a whole lot of work in this life and wonder if we’ve ever made a difference. Please know that this last-minute, shirts turned inside out photo shoot made all the difference, to my family!

Wow! So incredibly poignant and tender. But, I’m sorry for their loss. What a treasure to have these pictures!
