What I remember most about Kim is her award winning smile. Kim and I went to Ricks College at the same time, back when it was called Ricks College. People that had never heard of it would ask, who the heck is Rick? But now it’s called BYU-Idaho. Hello dull name, goodbye funny joke. Oh well. Time marches on, but one thing that has stayed the same is that Kim still has that fabulous grin.

We’re not just making pictures, we’re making history.
Dave is one of my favorite people and also, he’s hilarious. I don’t know about you, but I love to laugh, so I love to be around Dave. Trouble is, he lives in California so we don’t get to see each other very much. In fact, I hadn’t seen him since he’s had kids. Yikes. So I was really happy when he wanted me to photograph his family when he was in Utah for a visit.
Thanks for coming, Dave.

Saturday night, as the sun dipped below the horizon, I took these pictures.

Thanks, Kim for bringing your boys down to the studio.

Today we raked leaves.

Almost two, already cool–here’s Jack.
A forty second slide show is here, and if you want photographs like this for you or someone you love, give me a call.
Jessica is one of the cool kids. She watches “The Office”, sings, rides a bike, and reads everything she can get her hands on… And in the fall she’s off to UCLA for college and isn’t entirely sure what she’s going to study. No problem, there. Plenty of time. Thanks Todd and Stephanie, for a very pleasant afternoon.

If you’re interested in seeing a few more, there’s a quick slideshow here. And if you’re interested in getting pictures like this for yourself or anyone in your family, give me a call. The weather is finally suited for such things so now is the time.
These senior pictures were taken downtown Provo, UT, as well as the glorious Provo Canyon.

The best line of the night went like this–
Justin: You must be the cutest kid in school
Stevie: Yeah. Smartest, too!

Nyia is twelve and writes poetry, like this one:
“Magenta”
by Nyia
The lilacs gently swift through the spring morning
breeze.
The borders of a foggy flashback.
The nervous knots in your stomach unwinding.
The color of my comforter, I sweetly dream on.
The sky on a foggy day, right after a thunderstorm.
The color of frostbite on your body before the pain
starts to bunch together.
The background of a couple on the beach during a windy
sunset.
The exciting high winds and rushing snow all around a
snow globe.
The pebbles in a pond swiveling around and unraveling
their magnificent beauty.
The temperature decreasing and making foggy windows
freeze.
The outline of an eclipse every time the moon and sun
combine.
The hushed tones of sweet old ladies’ light voices
singing.

I think he looks older than four, here.
