If you’re a reader of Stephanie Nielson’s blog (really, who isn’t), you know she hosts a back to school night for her kids every year the night before school begins. She gives gifts, makes a beautiful meal, and they announce their theme for the school year. For the past couple years, I’ve gone to make some pictures of them on that night. Here are a few from this year.

Last month I photographed Stephanie and Christian at a beautiful place near Midway, Utah, called Huber Grove in Wasatch State Park. You should go there. I think you’d like it. Nie Nie posted a few pictures on her blog earlier today, so I thought I’d show you a couple of my favorites from that photo session besides those that she posted.

Also, the 30 Strangers opening was a perfect night. Some of my friends took pictures and as soon as I have some of those in my hot little hand, I’ll write all about it.

Last month Stephanie and Courtney spoke during Women’s Conference at BYU and were accompanied by their other two sisters, Paige and Lucy. They were, just as you’d expect, inspiring and entertaining.

I haven’t said much about this to anyone, but I figured since she recently posted it on her blog it would be ok to mention. I’m working on a long term documentary project with Stephanie Nielson, photographing her recovery. She is a light. And I am, like millions of others, so inspired by her. It’s a real honor to be able to collaborate on this with her.
