I offer mentoring sessions for photographers at ANY level who are serious about moving far beyond their current skills. Sessions are offered one-on-one or with a small group of friends.

Mentoring sessions are custom-tailored lessons based on what you want to learn more about. This is all about making you a better photographer and artist. What I want to teach you are all the things I wish I knew when I was starting out. I found plenty of books that talked about f-stops and shutter speeds, but as you know there’s far more to a great photograph than a properly exposed picture. What does it take to give your pictures some real soul? That’s what I’d love to show you. And so many of the exercises and concepts I want to teach you are not found in books. They come from my own mentors and the mighty school of hard knocks. Learning to take great pictures requires time, discipline and real education. Mentoring sessions are designed to move you quickly in the right direction.

One mentoring session for sixty minutes. This is a one-on-one mentoring session.

OPTION TWO – $200
Three sessions, sixty minutes each. This is a one-on-one mentoring session. (Three separate days) and 60 minute follow-up phone call. Usually it works best to meet the first hour session, then meet the second time a week later. Then meet the third time a week after that. Same with option three.

Three sessions, two-hours each, one-on-one mentoring (three separate days) and a 60 minute follow-up phone call after the final session.

Three hour session with you and two of your photographer friends

Mentoring sessions take place in Provo at or near my studio.

Other Alternatives – I teach online classes from time to time for Alt Design Summit, and have a class about portrait photography that can be taken online ANY TIME on Atly. Find it here.

Hi there,
I’m actually interested more about the salt lake seven. Is there any way to interact with this group of artists? Or do you have to be invited?

Do you have specific things that you teach or is it more of a question and answer sort of thing?

I have specific things I teach, all based on what what level you’re at, what you want to learn, and in what ways I can serve you best. So, I do have specific things, but it’s going to be tailored differently for each person. And hopefully you’ll have plenty of questions you want to ask, too, but sometimes, you know you want to get better, but aren’t sure what questions to ask.
