More on this later, but for now, I’ll just say that going to Wedsmith this year was truly amazing. I was honored to be involved, as Hilary asked me to be the event photographer for for the second year in a row. Once I edit the pictures I’ll put more up on the blog. In the mean time, here are the very inspiring 2011 speakers, as well as the creators of Wedsmith, Hilary Anderson and her husband Justin.

Thanks, Hilary. What a fantastic event.
On a beautiful day in June, Laura and Austin got married in Salt Lake City. Later that night in a friend’s backyard, they had their wedding reception that was packed with lovely details, beautiful people, delicious food and dancing.
Here they are, funny and fun, Laura and Austin.

Marin and Drew got married in Alabama and then had a lovely reception in Provo. Here are photographs from their wedding reception. But first, a quick side-note. I photographed Drew’s (the groom) brother’s wedding a while ago. I’d link to it on this blog, but it was in 2003 and I didn’t have a blog then. I’m talking about Amanda and Cubby. Amanda’s not only a great photographer and one of my favorites, but she’s also a florist along with her twin sister Chealsea, who is an amazing painter. They did the flowers for Marin and Drew. Clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap. Great job, Amanda and Chelsea.
And now, meet Marin and Drew.

Melissa Kelsey rocks it. She’s a wedding photographer in Salt Lake. I think she’s got style. We’re friends. I’m happy about that. Thanks for coming by today, Melissa. Come by any time.

Amy and I are leaving for Vegas today. We’re going to be attending WPPI. It’s a big convention for wedding and portrait photographers.
See you in a while. Don’t wait up.
What luck. Justin Lyon is in town to for the Sundance Film Festilval and had a couple photo shoots just down the block from my office. So he stopped by to say hello. Justin seems like the happiest person I know. I can’t imagine that he’s ever frowned or been sad.
Justin and his lovely wife Amelia are wedding photographers in Southern California and making a big splash in their neck of the woods. Everyone loves Amelia and Justin. Cheers, Justin. Thanks for coming by. You’re welcome here any time.

Back when we made these bridal portraits for Lindsay I only posted one close-up. She didn’t want Whitney to see the dress until the big day. Well, now that the wedding has passed, I’m posting some of my favorites. Enjoy.
