Family portraits can be taken at our studio in Provo, Utah, your home, or some outside location. In addition to photographing the whole family together, Justin will also photograph each person individually and any other grouping that you’d like. Not in Utah? No problem. Justin can come to you whether you’re in Long Beach or Long Island.

Frequently asked questions

Where do you take family portraits?
Anywhere that feels right for your family. If your home feels like part of your family story, then that’s a great place to consider. Or if the weather’s nice we can go to your favorite outdoor spot or I can recommend some of my favorites. My studio in Provo is a great option as well and it is the perfect temperature inside no matter the weather outside. I photograph families all over Utah County and Salt Lake County, and I'm happy to travel further if you’d like.

How long is a session?
Most family sessions run between one and two hours depending on the size of your group and how many groupings you'd like.

What should we wear?
Don't overthink it. Wear what you actually wear. Coordinating loosely in terms of color palette helps, but matching outfits aren't necessary. I'm happy to give specific advice once we've talked about your session.

How many people can you photograph?
Any size. I've photographed families of four and families of forty. For larger groups, reach out and we'll talk through the details.

When will we get our photos?
Usually around three weeks after your session we’ll set up a time for you to come to the studio to view your images. (If you live out of state or are unable to return to the studio, we’ll arrange this meeting over Zoom). At that time I will show you your images and walk through the different options we have. We have three offering: prints, digital files, and albums.
